Aquatic Weeds and the Damage They Cause
Dense plant growth threatens a lake and it's ecosystem through decomposing plant material, which deplete the life giving oxygen supply, suffocating fish and other organisms. Furthermore, the rotting vegetation warms the water causing algae to grow, providing a nutrient rich environment for more plants to grow.
Without proper intervention, a lake will eventually be so overcome by the plant growth, that the lake will literally die.
Aquatic plants can be controlled without any further damage to the lake ecosystem through mechanical harvesting. This is the most effective method of control because the harvester cuts to a depth of 5'6", and also removes the debris after it is cut. This is an important factor in weed control, because if weed debris is left after cutting it can float off and reseed at another location, thus compounding the weed problem.

We also have a shore conveyor to remove the weeds from the shoreline.
